In tonight's GOP debate, Sen. Ted Cruz laid out his plan to "redefine" the country's immigration system.
"We are going to end welfare benefits for anyone who is here illegally," Cruz said.
The Texas senator said that the country has the means to fix the system but lacks the political will, and laid blame on both parties.
"The Democrats support illegal immigration because they view those illegal immigrants as potential voters, and far too many of the Republicans are doing the bidding of Wall street and the special interests, and they view it as cheap labor."
