PANAMA : Tomas Berdych won apology

PRAGUE: Czech tennis star Tomas Berdych won an apology on Saturday from the public Czech News Agency (CTK) which had alleged his name had appeared in the Panama Papers. “We apologise to Mr Tomas Berdych for having wrongly stated… his name was given in the Panama Papers database,” CTK wrote. World No 7 Berdych, 30, had vehemently denied the allegations which he called “crazy,” and after receiving the apology, he tweeted: “Truth prevails.” Shedding light on international tax fraud, the Panama Papers published this week have mentioned top athletes including Lionel Messi, side by side with a host of politicians, actors and other celebrities.
